Inputs came from multiple sources- point cloud scans, a virtual walkthrough, and schematic PDFs- demanding careful coordination and verification.

The project had to comply with typical business occupancy standards (Group B), requiring clear representation of office zones, customer service areas, back-office spaces, and access points.

  • Legacy Construction Elements:

Several components in the building predated digital documentation and required careful interpretation during modeling.

Approaches and Solutions

  • Point Cloud Integration in Revit:

The team imported the point cloud data directly into Revit to capture spatial accuracy.

  • Modeling from Multiple Sources:

The virtual tour and schematic PDFs were referenced to model elements not clearly visible in the scans, ensuring no design gaps.

  • LOD 300 Modeling:

A Level of Development 300 model was developed, accurately capturing walls, floors, ceilings, windows, doors, and external elements.

  • Model Coordination and QA:

Multiple rounds of internal reviews were conducted to align with business occupancy use cases and verify geometric fidelity.
